Historic towns
Calcata is a medieval town that projects itself over its valley like a boat. It stands poised to launch itself from the rocks and fly across the clouds.
Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying city in all of its majesty, stands in the middle of a valley amongst the clouds. It’s simply floating above the trees.
Civita Castellana, the grand tour city, is interesting for its historical value and tradition. Here artisans and artists still work clay, making ceramics like centuries ago.
Barbarano Romano is amongst the smallest and better-kept small towns in Tuscia. Its narrow alleys always resolve in a beautiful belvedere!
Vitorchiano the city made of stone, was built upon and rendered from Peperino, a volcanic stone. Around it, we find its valley filled with eclectic contemporary sculptures.
